Cindy Darlene Evans

Mrs. Cindy Darlene Evans, Indianapolis, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital. She was 54. She was born June 17, 1965, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Cecil Vesley and Ruby Belle (Cook) Hunter.

Cindy graduated from Danville High School in 1983 where she played saxophone in the marching band. She then graduated from IUPUI in 1989 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She had been employed as an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years and had most recently worked for Premier Home Health and Hospice in Indianapolis. Cindy loved her profession and caring for her patients as they were dear to her heart.

Cindy enjoyed spending her leisure time cooking (especially trying new recipes), having a garden and spending time and being with her family, whom she loved dearly. She was also an adventurous lady and enjoyed jet skiing and scuba diving. Cindy loved the Lord and serving Him at her home church, Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Dan Evans; her sons, Benjamin (Elaine) Evans, Samuel Evans and Jason (Emily) Evans; her grandson, Jason Evans; her twin sister, Sandy (Ron) Faulkner as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Cecil and Ruby Hunter preceded her in passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church, 8140 Union Chapel Road, Indianapolis. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Church.
