Lavina Emogene (Hoskins)Carr, 86

Passed away on March 20, 2019 at Eskenazi Hospital.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana  on October 3, 1932 to Landis and Charlotte (Holden) Hoskins, who preceded her in death along with her beloved husband John J. Carr and son David D. Carr.

Lavina was a devout Catholic and a proud member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles and shopping.  A real hand at playing poker. Family was everything to her and she will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors: daughter Debra "Debbie"(Leslie) Trent; loving sister: Georgia Elenor Holland;  grandchildren: Kevin ( Kelly) and Kerry(Ashlee) Mundy, Darla Kemper; Shawn D(Jenell)Carr 8 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Grinsteiner Funeral  Home on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11:00 a..m. with Father Michael Carr and Father Chris Wadelton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Greenwood, Indiana.
