William Curtis Wingard, 68, of Indianapolis passed away on March 8, 2019. William was born to John C. and Willie Mae Wingard on November 18, 1950 in Indianapolis, Indiana. William graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1968. He loved all sports specifically football and basketball. William enjoyed traveling the USA, some of his favorite cities were Chicago and Las Vegas, all of California and Kentucky. He enjoyed playing chess and took the challenge of the sport serious. William loved children, his grandchildren especially, doing magic tricks and telling jokes, laughing and enjoying spending time together. William was a self proclaimed fast talker and smooth listener.
William is preceded in death by his parents and sister; Johnnie Mae Wingard. He is survived by his children; sons; Damon McCauley and William Curtis McCauley, daughter; April McCauley, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He will truly be missed by his many family and friends. "If you be late, you'll lose weight", William is known for saying so with that said, a Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 starting at 2:00 pm at April McCauley's home, 2419 N. Kitley Ave, 46219.
