Clifford Edward Wood

Clifford Edward “Eddie” Wood, 69 of Indianapolis, passed away on June, 1, 2022.

He was born on March 7, 1953 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky to the late Wilburn Wood and Phyllis (Shepherd) Stowe.

Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired truck driver.

He loved all kinds of music and making people laugh. He took pride in his motorcycle and enjoyed camping and fishing.

He was an excellent cook, and everyone loved his biscuits and gravy.  Eddie loved spending time with his family and especially his grand babies.

Survivors include his daughters, Miranda Wood, and Jessica Whitaker; his sons, James, Eddie, and Tommy; brothers, Butch Wood and Carrie Wood; sisters, Tina Cuffle and Sandra; as well as 10 grandchildren.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jamie Gillespie; and his former wife, Julie-Anne Wood.

A Celebration of Eddie's Life will be held at Grinsteiner Funeral Home on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. with pastor David Bacon officiaing.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:30 p.m.

Family suggest donations to be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.

Cremations will follow with burial later at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grinsteiner Funeral Home.
