Donna Sue (Hollingsworth) Winklepleck

Donna Sue Winklepleck 65, of Paris, Illinois, passed away on July 27, 2021, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN after an aggressive battle with liver disease. She was born November 1, 1955, in Paris, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Theresa Hollingsworth, her sister Sharon Parker, and her brother-in-law Larry Parker.
Donna leaves behind her husband Gary Winklepleck, her children Shawn Nugent and April Dulaney both of Paris IL, and her grandchildren: Braylon Nugent, Samantha Moore, Landon Nugent, and Sydney Timmerman. Donna loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed taking them swimming.

Her survivors also include her siblings Paula (Harold) Wolfe Paris, IL, Tim (Christianna) Hollingsworth, Georgetown, IL, and Jeanette (Mark) Tinsman Paris, IL, Brothers and Sisters in Law: Donald and Kim Kessler and Hersh and Mary Kessler both of Paris, IL. Donna also had several special cousins as well as her close friends Dorothy and Tom Endicott. She was loved by many family and friends.
Donna also leaves behind her dogs Harley and Scooter, her cats Binx Meow-Meow Toby and Booger, and her sister's dog JoJo. She loved her pets, spending time with them, and leash training her cats. She was even known to take in a stray or ten over the years. Teddy and Shadow (RIP) were very special to her. 

One of Donna's favorite pastimes was crafting. She enjoyed sewing, jewelry making, crocheting washcloths and scarfs, pouring concrete leaf bowls, and making holiday gnomes. She also enjoyed cooking.
She was fond of being outdoors, missed the mountains, and desired to get back to Colorado where she used to live.
She had a passion for genealogy. Donna and her sister had even traced their ancestors back to their migration from Ireland to America. The family settled in Winchester, VA where they founded Abram’s Delight and a working grain mill, Hollingsworth Mill.  
 
The funeral will be Tuesday August 3, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Edgar county cemetery where she will be layed to rest next to her parents. Celebrate of life to follow at Step Station, 14793 E 1200 Rd Paris, Illinois. 
Any memorial donations can be made to the family and will be put towards the purchase of a headstone.

Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to Grinsteiner Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Indianapolis, Indiana.
