Michael Eric Tanner, Jr.

Michael Eric Tanner, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 42.

He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 17, 1978 to the late Micheal Eric Tanner Sr and Sybil (Sarver) Tanner.

Mike loved to show his talent making terrific ribs on the grill, no barbecue sauce just his secret dry rub. He was an avid Colts fan and loved Marvel Comics.

The thing he loved most, was spending time with his son and family, and with several pastors doing community service.

Survivors include his son, Mykell Elijah Tanner; his brother, Kyle J Tanner; his sister Shannon Sarver; a special aunt and uncle, Theodore and Sherice Comer; the mother of his child, Maguette Gray; as well as other family and many friends; also man's best friend "Billy" his dog.

Mike was preceded in passing by his parents, and sister Shawnda Sarver.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutherland Park Cemetery, with Pastor Moses officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grinsteiner Funeral Home.
