The family of Ryan David Waltman invite you to attend a Celebration of Life in his memory. An open house has been planned for Saturday, April 30th at the home of Brad and Laura Benge, 10609 Bradford Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46231 between 3:00-5:00PM. Ryan D. Waltman - April 28, 1981 - November 1, 2021

The Family of Ryan David Waltman, 40, is saddened to announce his passing on November 1, 2021.  Ryan was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and attended Chapel Rock Christian Church in Indianapolis. He had a deep faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and one of his favorite bible verses was Matthew 25:35-36

Ryan cherished spending time with his family at Sunday lunches, barbecues, Holidays and watching sports.   He also loved supporting the Ben Davis and Plainfield Girls Varsity Basketball programs, where two of his Uncles are head coaches.  Ryan had many hobbies-such as following the musician Beck (seeing him many times in concert), fishing and boating; which were frequent activities when visiting his parents in Florida—his favorite place to be.

While Ryan struggled with mental health for many years, he had a heart of gold and was very highly regarded by all who had the privilege to know him. Ryan was further supported with outstanding care and treatment from the doctors and specialists at Esknazi Mental Health, formerly known as Mid-Town Health Services. The family will forever be grateful for all their assistance. 

Preceding Ryan in death was his Maternal Grandfather, Stanley Benge, with whom he had a very close relationship, until two years ago when Stanley passed away.  Ryan’s Paternal Grandfather, Robert Waltman passed away in December 2001.

Ryan is survived by his Mother and Stepfather, Becky and George Minix (residing in South Pasadena, Florida), his Father and Stepmother, David and Kathleen Waltman (Indianapolis), his sister, Rhiannon Waltman (Indianapolis) and stepbrother, Ryan Minix (Lisa) (Plainfield).  He is also survived by both Maternal and Paternal Grandmothers, Jean Benge and Loretta “Rita” Waltman, respectively.

There will be no services at this time for Ryan but a celebration of life and scattering of ashes memorial will be held at a later date.

He is deeply missed but will be forever loved and remembered.
